Interesting study by Employee Benefit Research Institute that looks at the offer rates for employers from 2004 thru 2015.

I there a link to that study?

It seems to me that aca has allowed employers to shift benefits to gov.subsidized health plans. NOT GOOD imo.

Narrow regional networks seem to be the rule, generally, on individual plans with only emergency care covered at in network rates when outside area, and some will balance bill for amounts over UCR. Group PPO's typically have a national network, so employees on assignment or living in other states can be covered in network. If out of area coverage doesn't affect anyone working for the employer, then maybe not so bad.

I also observe that some employees have a hard time keeping up with monthly payments on their individual insurance. In some cases that could cause problems for the employee that would affect their health, if policies lapse.
