Is there any value in being certified with any of the letter code designations for estate or financial planning?

CFP is the best marketed designation and probably the most useless (amazing what marketing can do for you).

Designations are helpful for networking among professionals, attorneys and accountants will tend to trust you more. Also, if you ever plan to whole sale the agents you call on will be more impressed.

Start with LUTCF, it's more practical in assisting you to be a good agent.
