Florida Blue Pulling Out of Florida?

Heard an interesting rumor recently that Florida Blue Medicare is pulling out of Florida because they are losing money on the business.

Anyone heard this or can confirm/deny this rumor?

If they pull out of Medicare, what are they gonna sell? No carrier cares about or wants to really sell IFP, so they gonna live on Grp?

If they screwed other agents like they did me they will have a hard time finding an agent who will sell their products. Sold MAPD and MS for several years and built a good renewal and the CGA cancels my contract for no reason.

I thought that the devil is Humana?

BXBS are starting a PPO product with certain insulins covered as Tier 1 Rx AND in the gap. Looking at the network, it pretty much sucked and had very few providers. What good is a PPO if you constantly have to go out of network?

If anyone of these rumor pusher's had bothered to check Medicare.gov they would have seen that is not true.

I wouldnt want them to move out, we need the competition here.
depending on what part of the state your in, there is really only 4-5 players in the MA market, and 2-3 players in the medsupp market.

And with AEtna and Humana merging there will be less. Blue leaving would only make things worse
