Found out this morning we are not paid for renewals.

Ive done a little research on this and isnt industry standard on P&C to be paid on new business as well as renewals? We have a small salary and commission. We are a new agency however I assumed we would be paid on renewals for sure.

Thoughts?

Your agency owner will be paid on renewals. You get a salary plus commission.

Thanks. I asked and he said going 1099 I would be paid 8% on new business and 3% on renewals. Laptop provided, phone to us at home and still access to leads list. Ability to use office as needed for printing, etc.

If you go 1099 you will ONLY get paid on NEW business and renewals, there will be no salary. You might even be charged for charge backs. Think before you decide
