Getting Licensed with a Misdemeanor in NC

hey guys first time poster here, I have a misdemeanor on my record from about a year ago I think it was called "defeat of an anti security device". I didn't actually commit the crime my friend did and I was present so I go charged as well. It was originally a felony but it got dropped since I was a first time offender. I live in North Carolina is this going to be a problem? how do i work around this?
