In NY basically the only player in Med supps is AARP, price is plan F $271.50 a Month, plan N is $178 Month, all other companies are WAY more.

Globe, which is part of First United has F Deductible for $64 a Month, which comes out to about $1200 a year cheaper than AARP plan N.

For a healthy person I don't understand why anyone would take the AARP over GLOBE, even if someone ends up paying the full $2200 ded. it would come out about $1000 more than the AARP N,

For a healthy person its very likely the GLOBE would be much a better deal.

Don't forget, there is no underwriting in NY, so in worst case, if health starts going downhill, you can always change plan's.

What are your thoughts? anyone writing in NY?

In this particular case, I would say that Globe would be the better way to go, especially since they can change it at any time.

I totally agree F+ with Globe Life would be a better choice if someone is in good health. It,s very sad to see that AARP & United health Care have a big advantage over all companies in NY.

for the most part in NY people who buy supp don't like to pay a lot of out of pocket. People who want to spend less premium buy MA.

Plan N AARP in NY has had near 100% retention for me, In fact the only ones I lost either died or bought MA through me. out of those 8 that had me switch them to MA 5 have had me return them back to plan N

Those looking for lower premium I go MA in the boroughs AARP has a great MA for $69 if lower premium is needed there are other options
