Got a call today

Having applied in April, if SS backdated the Pt A start date to 4/1 then they likely backdated Pt B to 4/1. Otherwise, when did the client tell SS he wanted his start date to be? The seven month rule still applies.

They should have an award letter any day and you may be able to see the start dates on Medicare.gov.

You should be fine with the 6/1 start date.

Ok met with the person, part a is 4/1/18 part B is 5/1/18 should be good to go with med sup and drug plan 6/1/18 right?

One more side-note. Some carriers (I only know of one - uhc did it a few years ago on one of mine - but there may be more) will actually take an app mid-may - for med supp - and give coverage for 5/1/18 effective.

I only throw that out there in case the person wants the supp a.s.a.p....
