I was referring the the Retirement Planning Forum in general

That's because people are not saving enough money.

Yes, that is a problem for people planning to retire but not all of us think it is worthwhile.

I don't know how it works in the US but in the UK most people do not live long enough to see their pension.

Good or bad, but the only way it will work is if people reduce their standard of living below what they are use to currently. It's tough for most people that are barely hanging on currently and as the global demand for the goods we take for granted increase, it's going to get tougher. That's not all doom and gloom. People will adjust, in fact, it needs to happen.

We do consume far too much in the West, on the bright side it might sort out our obesity problems
