Group Health Insurance FMOs

Hi everyone,

My niche is Group Health Insurance, and I'm in the evaluation stage of several FMOs. At the moment, Excelsior/HealthMarkets is standing out, if for no other reason than the sheer amount of information they provide on their website regarding their Group Health offering. Any opinions on Excelsior/HM? Are there better FMOs in the GH space that I should be looking at? Thank you, in advance, for your insight!

I rarely use an FMO for group health.
Normal is a direct contract with the carrier

If you were doing a small number of groups per year then using this type of service make sense to me. I would agree with Mudhound and suggest you go direct, especially in NY state where your choices are limited anyway.

I am an agent with Healthmarkets...I am in the process of leaving Healthmarkets.

You do NOT have to be a HM agent to use Excelsior...
