Client got a brochure in the mail from Anthem and teachers retirement association offering a plan the same as plan F for lower than the lowest price plan F in my area. It also has a free vision benefit that was actually decent. Any disadvantages to getting a "group" med supp as it specifically said it on the brochure.

Usually it is ok...same coverage as traditional plan, probably 10% lower premium and additional benefits like the vision care you cited.

I talked to a retired teacher from OH a few weeks ago. Similar situation. Don't recall the carrier and I didn't see the literature. Just made notes as she described the situation. Seems like it had Rx included.
I told her to keep what she had as long as she could.
