Before the aca the only "good" business was group and things haven't gotten any better after the aca.

My wife was in medical billing, and she's very interested in selling health insurance to our current clients. I, myself, don't know much about it, but she sees a market for it in our community. We just don't know what carriers to go for..

It's been some time, I'd figure I'd bump this. We're still looking for health insurance carriers that does individual health insurance..

I mean this as politely as possible, but you're going to be waiting until the end of time. There isn't really an individual health market in NY. If you are a glutton for punishment you could go to healthcare.gov and ask the carriers in your area if they want agents, but you're looking at getting into something that is a lot of work and pays poorly (if at all).
