Hello Everyone,
My name is Ken. I have been reading all the posts for quite some time. I have been in insurance sales for 34 years now. Started out as a captive agent selling accident policies for the first 9 years. Since then I have been selling cancer and accident policies with return of premium as an independent contractor.
I have a nice renewal check built up. I do get some cancel at issue and a few cancellations during the first few years. I get very few cancellations after the first few years because of the return of premium benefit. I do not get policies replaced.
It is mostly an evening job for me and I am considering doing FE or medicare supplements. FE seems to be a way to make a lot of money up front but from what I have read it looks like it gets replaced and the charge backs are a big problem. I do like the fact that it would be a mostly day appointments.
I am leaning towards the medicare supplement route. Since I have renewals I would not be dependent on a lot of advancements.
I look forward to reading more and any advice I may get.
Thanks,
Ken
