Help! Medicare Certification in Florida

Hi Everyone!

I am on the P&C side of the business in South Florida, and recently obtained my 2-15 Life & Health License.

I would like to ask about Medicare Certification. My Boss wants me to get certified to sell Medicare. Not sure what direction I should turn to, as my background is mostly in the Property & Casualty markets. I know my agency does a lot of business with Aetna, FL Blue, and Humana, in both small and large group health plans.

I was hoping someone in this community could help me and point me in the right direction and/or had some information on the subject selling markets 65+ in Florida.

You need to get appointed with a company for Medicare Advantage plans, then you can certify to sell them.

For Medicare Supplements, you do not need to get certified that. The only exception to this is AARP/UHC. You do have to certify for their Med Supps.

So, find an upline, get appointed, certify, sell.
