Anything treated within the last 24 months is not covered for 24 months after policy issue. Therefore their diabetes and nephropathy would not be covered until after 24 months.

Thanks for spelling that out for me!!! Are their rates comparable to the Aetna's, GTL's?
Probably is with GTL.. They are in the same building as GTL and GTL administers their business with the exception of the marketing. They also have another hospital indemnity product that is underwritten.

Too old. GTL(and I think UNL) has their Advantage Plus Hospital Indemnity plan that's GI for ages 64 1/2 - 65 1/2. They look back 6 months and there's a 6 month waiting period for pre-existing conditions. This can vary by state.
On their app, they only ask if you have diabetes treated with insulin in the past 12 months.
