A couple weeks on average. However, some companies allow you to submit business with contracting. Some require it.

52 hour course all online and exams are about a week or so out, then takes a few weeks to get license in hand or show up online.

I am talking about getting appointed. I am already licensed. It will be 2 weeks as of Monday that I submitted the contracting paperwork.

Unless you have something in your background that would cause a problem, life insurance appointments should be quite quick. If you're more inclined to write final expense (vs more mainstream life insurance) it might be a bit longer.

Since you're a new agent, it's more important that you know how to market yourself. What is your plan?
