Hello,
I received a speeding ticket on CT I-95 under statute 14-298. The officer put a line through the box that states your traveling speed. The statute 14-298 gives the State Traffic Commission the power to enforce the laws through signage, but it is not a charge in itself.
I called the DMV and they informed me that the officer was gracious and gave me a ticket equivalent to a non-moving violation, just a small fine.
I am shopping for new auto insurance and am wondering,
1. How should I explain this ticket to the insurance company?
2. Will it have a drastic affect on my premiums?
I am just getting off my parents policy. :(
Thank you so much for your help!!!
