I am not contracted with Humana. How will they underwrite high blood pressure as well as high cholesterol. Do they rider it? if so how?

Going from memory since I am not at my office computer. Both are rated unless there are other medical conditions. Seems like some HTN's are standard, but that may not be right.

I do know they are more reasonable than any of my other carriers in their loads for chol & HTN.

HTN AND cholesterol combined with overweight, smoker, other contributing factors is a decline.

Even if it is not declined you are going to have to jump through hoops. I hope you have a motivated buyer willing to play along.

Just looked it up.

HTN + chol = rate up, avg 10% for each med

HTN + chol + tobacco = decline

HTN + chol + ratable build = decline

BP readings last 12 months, chol + tri + HDL/LDL last 12 months

I haven't had any declines with H1 for HTN or chol but then I don't submit stuff that wont pass muster to any carrier.

I have been pleasantly surprised with HumanaOne.

About a year ago, I had a 60ish lady that I thought might present some problems due to osteoporosis meds, but no problem. Issued as applied for.
