I Am New to Direct Mailings

I have a budget of $500 mth.

I have a buddy in Kansas who is having some success getting leads from Lincoln Heritage for $27 a lead.

My company does not carry them.
I am thinking of starting my own mailing program.
What do you see that is working?

Any ideas are appreciated.

Be prepared to spend your entire budget and have 99.8% of your mailings thrown in the trash.

Personally I can say that I am hesitant to read things I get in the mail - just due to the volume, it can be overwhelming.

For me anyway, the volume of mail I receive has declined over the years. I will open each piece I receive unless it's obviously a spam mail. I must be one of the few who actually like to get mail.
