I've been in the business almost 2 years and spent 8 months of that time with an NAA type company. I didn't know any better. I was writing mostly SI and FE. No fully underwritten because it was frowned upon and we in only got 50%. The payouts weren't much better on SI (70%) and FE (70%) ... I went with another IMO a few months ago and because I didn't ask the right questions I'm in as earned with my life carries, which I don't want to be. So in getting feedback on another thread and doing some of my own research, I'm asking for some input on the following companies.
Is like to contract with SENIOR MARKETING SPECIALISTS for med supp ...PINNEY for life because I like the ezsales app ... ROSTER FINANCIAL for annuities because they are 30 minutes from me and will send a rep to help set up and co-speak at seminars ... I'm going to look into Todd King, 360 and fex for final expense.

Thoughts? Better options?

Looking for input good or bad on PINNEY or ROSTER?

Pinney is excellent. Jeff Root in particular if you can get with him.

Fex, 360 and Todd King are also excellent choices. I'm most partial to Fex of course.

None of these choices would prevent you from being very successful.

X2. I agree with Scott completely.

I can second this. Jeff Root is great to work with.

All good choices.

I called and asked for Jeff Root. He's an agent for Pinney. He doesn't work for Pinney. His agency is Root Financial.

What kind of contracts are looking for? Pinney is great, but there are other places who may provide same level of service and higher level of contracts.

I personally feel you should spread contracts out, and not be reliant on any one IMO.

You can be under Jeff. He is a smart guy. I have a number of contracts there.

Matt is correct there is a big insurance world out there. While this forum is awesome it is a tiny place in comparison.

I was thinking about having my life business with Pinney ... Annuities with Roster ... Med Supp with SMS ... I'm not a big producer ... I'm relatively new to the business and will prob write around 100k ... PINNEY is starting me off at Platinum which is around 90% commish for term

The reason or my thought process behind having all my life carriers with Pinney is the quoting engine. For example, if I run a quote through PINNEY and the lowest quote cones up AGLA, what do you do if you have AGLA through a different IMO? I use a lot of e-apps. I'm basically paperless for life business. I can't just click the e-app button in the quoting Pinney's quoting engine if I'm not contracted with AGLA through PINNEY. I'd either have to go to AGLA's website or through Roster's quoting engine and input everything a second time. No?
