In Office Instant Messaging/Sametime

Any know of an easy to install and possibly free messenger? I know there are some like gmail/google but I want to communicate with my call center and I have a web blocker on their computers.

I just want to talk with them w/o having to walk across the building for something short and sweet. I've done some searches and found some stuff but thought someone could easily point me in the right direction?

Trillian for Business is cheap-ish and has wonderful security, audit and chat controls.

Gchat can be used in the browser. Skype is also a great option.

I agree with mIRC. You can create private rooms or password protect them. Even even put little robots in them....is Eggdrop still around? Just make sure you are all connecting to the same server.

No sense in reinventing the wheel...Skype, Gtalk, etc.

Update...Trillian is awesome! Downloaded it to all our computers over the past 2 days. Did the free version. I have on my phone also. Is working great and it doesn't interfere with our web blocker.

We use the built-in Google chat in our google apps account.
