Independent Agent's Carriers are often contracting with competitors of independent agents. As agents we should share this info in an effort to keep the carriers accountable. These Carriers also are the first to contract with aggregators and allow everyone with a license to access their product. Conversely some carriers that claim to have limited distribution and resist aggregators contract with small groups of sizable local agents who combine to aggregate their profit sharing and clout.

----------

Example 1: The Hartford contracting with ADP. A payroll company that offers benefits and insurance typically work comp via the Hartford. Furthermore The Hartford wont then allow independent agents to BOR those policies to their agency.

Aren't independent agents competing with independent agents?
