I would like to know if there's an independent insurance agency or company contact that has renewal commissions for independent agents especially when it comes to selling term products.

Yes.....one example...
I offer Assurity. You'll get 130% on 20 and 30 year term first year, then 2.75% years 2-10. That contract also pays 17.5% 2nd year renewals on FE

Term renewals are rather rare. Generally for captives or simplified issue products. Any contract with good FYC will have renewals IF it is offered for that product. So if you are seeing good FYC but no renewals on a particular term product, it simply may not be available from the company.
