Insurance Noodle says they will allow you to sell insurance as an "Agent" or an "Agency."

What is the difference?

An agent is typically held captive to one company or another. Any independent producers/brokers must register their company with insurance noodle therefor creating an agency, and you can use insurance noodle as a business/agency to write insurance through multiple providers. Captive agents, i.e. state farm, allstate etc. cannot use any other means to produce other than the provider they are held captive to.
