I'm a new (<2 yrs.) Florida P&C agent-owner, have been in the biz 5 years previous (so 7 yrs. total). Currently appt'd w/ 11 home, 4 auto companies. 3 producers, 1 CSR.
Running into a problem where policy servicing is taking up a disproportionate amount of time, considered hiring a 2nd CSR but cashflow is tight. Being the agent-owner, in addition to producing I'm also pulling extra time doing the marketing, accounting, etc.
Recently had conversations with a few clusters/MGA's who can offer additional appointments as well as back of the house CSR's - IOA being one of them. Seriously considering it.
Posting to see if any agents have personal experience with some of the clusters/MGA's, what the lowered commission splits can be expected for new renewal, and bonuses, and if the back of the house "juice is worth the squeeze."
