You know some young kid that works close to my home ask me if I wrote P/C, which I don't. He stated he pays around $2100 a year, one car new and no tickets or accidents. I found that outrageous! Yet though he says it is about as cheap as he has found. Sent off to see a friend, I just couldn't believe the price though! I think he is around 24.

Don't you just love paying a high premium for the immature irresponsible one's whose mommy and daddy pay for everything?

I pay about $1800 a year. My insurance costs more than my car payment.

Of course, I wonder how prices would change if auto insurers couldn't rely on financial responsibility laws.

Also, credit score plays a disproportionately big role in determining auto premium. If you're just starting out and don't have a 5-7 year credit history, might as well just get used to paying out the butt.
