Now... steroids and controversies aside...

1. If you were the fan and kept that
baseball, could you go about insuring it?

2. If you were the fan and wanted to sell
that baseball, how would you go about

Unless you were very, very wealthy why would you want to keep it?

If I were selling it, I would hire an agent/attorney for interested people to contact. Or, put it up for auction at a place like Sotheby's.

I would not try to sell it myself. I'll bet Arlis could get the most for it.

What a nice guy. However, I wouldn't suggest that you tell your wife you were giving away a million dollar baseball.

Lol. How would the ball be "verified" as the actual ball? Just because I'm on camera as catching it doesn't mean I can't keep the real ball and offer up some old ball I have laying around the house.

Good point. He probably should have placed the ball in the hands of the police who escorted him out to establish the chain of custody if something like that could be done.

It may be able to be able to be verified if the bat can be matched to the ball. I'm sure he has the bat. A forensic lab could probably match the bat to the residue on the ball.

The do stuff like that with dead people all the time.

The balls have a code printed on it. MLB already knew what the code was when the ball was in the air.

By the way, I'd sell it in a hearbeat. Bonds is basically an asshole. Wouldn't give him the time of day.

I'm actually torn. Is it a shock that body builders are on roids? I remember Arnold denying it for years then finally fessing up and no one cared. The problem with me is, even with Bonds on the juice it still takes an incredible level of skill to hit those homers. I'm sure PLENTY of other players are juicing up and can't hit a homer to save their life.
