At first blush, when I read the heading, I got concerned. But as I read the article I realized it's not for every person on Medicare, just for those who are chronic illness. Here is the link to the article:

While I don't want to be conspiracy theorist, will this drag us down that slippery slope of having all forms of insurance mandated, thus becoming socialist. Since the Democrats are now in office and possibly could be for 2016, does this open the door for mandated insurance for everyone?

Those are my thoughts, your thoughts are welcome.

this bill does NOT include long-term care (aka long-term services and support.)

why did you post it in the long-term care section?

:goofy:

Because it does allow, not mandate but allow, physicians to coordinate long term care services such as Home Health Care, Transporations, DME, etc.

there's a lot more to long term care than the cost of a grab bar, transportation to the doctor and a few home health visits.

Howard Gleckman is really reaching in this article.
