We used Tenfold for this. We use Salesforce as our CRM and 3cx as our phone system. About more than a year ago, we have the same issue of wanting to integrate the two and we want the right features (a dashboard and a good caller ID). That's when we found Tenfold, the 3rd party CTI that we use. It cost us money but it also made us more efficient.
