Mother Mutual to its agents. "If you engage in life settlements, we'll terminate your contract and sue you."

Mother Mutual to is dealer. "Hey, you got any more of those life settlements for me?"

Home offices and government is not required to be logical. That aside, I suppose if they did cannibalize their own policies I suppose it could be viewed as self dealing.
