Is it worth getting appointed with Celtic?

I am a new agent and the members forum has been extremely helpful answering some of questions. I am in Michigan and plan on also selling in CA and OH. I am trying to get signed up for most of the top carriers in these markets and was wondering if I should get appointed with Celtic?

Just out of curiousity, is Celtic competetive in ANY area of the United States?

That was my first thought. When asked I let it be known that I don't sell celtic because their price/product is out of whack. Of course I'm contractd with Anthem/bc, who's jsut an uncompetitive here, but at least the have some brand recognition.

Is that north Lubbock or south Lubbock?

Competitive is relative. Sometimes they are, sometimes not.

I haven't used them in probably 3 years.

Underwriting sucks. They use a rented network. They have almost no customer or agent support.

Even if they are competitive, why bother?

That being said, I did lose a case to them a few weeks back. Their premium on a comparable plan was nearly double but they had a PCP in their rented network that was not in any of the proprietary networks.

It was an illogical purchase. The guy was willing to pay an extra $250 per month to see his doc a couple of times a year on a par basis.
