Is There a Big Difference in Medicare Funding Between 3.0 & 3.5 STARS?

Most of the plans in San Antonio are either 3.0 or 3.5. I'm just curious if the .5 span makes a big difference in funding to these plans. Of course, I'm getting a little nervous that their might be too much imbalance. I surely don't need the aggravation.

If i'm not mistaken a plan with 3.5 will get 3.5% extra funding above and beyond what the base amount for the area is the that particular type of plan. A plan with a 3.0 star rating will get 3.0% extra funding above and beyond what the base amount for the area is the that particular type of plan.
