Is this the End for Genworth Life/Annuity Products?

Genworth has announced on Feb 04, 2016 that they are suspending the sale of all of their traditional life insurance and fixed annuity products........

I thought they were going hard into annuities and life so they could actually make money? Now they are getting out of that business so they can focus on their money losers?

Though we have been reliably informed that the LTCI sold within the last five years is making money.

I got a notice also. They have slid hard the past few years. Have to admit, was still kinda surprised though.
