If someone does not sign up during a SEP, he is not allowed to sign up for another year?

UnitedHealth suggests Obamacare is being gamed

“The penalty is the stick that motivates people,” Cox said. “If you don’t sign up for coverage in a short window, not only do you have to pay a penalty, you wouldn’t be able to sign up for another year.”

Think they are referring to signing up "for another year" as in next year. If you are outside your 60 days for SEP, you have to wait until AEP for coverage next year.

:err: You do know that everyone here knows your exact income (+/- $100) just by knowing the penalty, right?

I would guess that MedicareAgent is right around $110K. He probably has a huge office, nice list of write-offs, and a hot wife to boot.

No secret. He's able to purchase ducks with the money he would have otherwise used on health insurance. The big ducks provide him with all the health care he needs.
