I just got an email on the Health Markets MA plans. Nothing stands out as extraordinary. Here in GA, they have two plans (don't know if there is any difference in other states). They have a zero premium plan and a $49.40 per month plan. I just have a tough time contracting with them because of their crap health plans. The $49.40 plan has no PCP copay and $15 specialist. $250 hospital admission. $100 outpatient surgery. $1,500 max OOP.

I just have a tough time contracting with them because of their crap health plans.

What kind of commissh are they paying, and any lead support?

I wouldn't let that bother you that they have a crappy health plan for other groups. It's like going to a restaurant where they have good burgers and lousy fish meals. Pick and choose.

Actually, this is an idle question. My plate is full with choices already.

$350 MA-PD. $310 MA. Doubtful that there's any lead support. They have captive agents for that.

I wrote my first Pyramid TO MA today. Damm it's a lot of paper. Then called to set up the verification app't time with client. Then back at the office to fax it in, but crap, those flimsy app sheets tear in the fax machine so you have to make copies first, then run it thru.

Are they broke, and no $$ for better paper? Or just more busy work for agent.

And oh....those off shore call centers in India that they contract with....that's the cat's meow...

Instead of faxing you can submit apps online and keep your copy for your records.

You do have to fill out app at house and get verification number to put on online app. You just go to the Todays Options Website and make sure you check that agent helped you. Complete the application and then make sure you put your Agent ID at the end. You will need verification number to get paid. It is a bit of a hassle but when you do it online it gets into the system faster and you get paid faster. I also print the online app for my records also. I used to fax but like the online better, especially getting paid faster and at end of the month it also gets member in system faster.

I called Today's Option's last week and they told me that I could not submit anything online. They said it is not approved yet. They told me the only way I could send it in is by fax. That is what my FMO told me too.

I have been doing it that way since March with no problems but I have not done any enrollments since the suspension.I do have several friends that have and everything has worked fine.

Have not been told not to, but then again have not asked.:err:

See....we all get different instructions from different sources on how to submit business.

So why can't companies issue a WRITTEN directive?

I was told to fax in apps for Pyramid TO in order to get paid. Forget what was posted on the TO thread. BTW...they are having a webinar on Monday.....with a Q&A to follow.
