Longest case in UW

Just curious, what case languished in UW the longest. I had an attorney in CA get approved after 8 months. Table 8. Young and serious psych meds and pain meds.. Took a literal legal threat to get psych aps. It was a big case (14k) and he lapsed in about a year. Worked out ok for me, but not the insurance company or the insured.

Longest for me has probably been about 3 mos, and client didn't take it - table 8. I guess I'm lucky compared to some folks. Most of my clients get done in reasonable time.

This depends on how you define it. Client applies for LI and it is put on hold because he has not completed a sleep study. It takes a year for him to do the sleep study. The insurance company requests APS again and they lead to more APS's and so on. SO in theory it could take years.
