Looking to move into P&C from Life

I have been on the life and health side for about a year and half, now I am considering making a transition to the P&C side. I know that with my life ins. experience it shouldn't be too difficult to make the move.

Would it be best to make the immediate move to Indy? or should I learn the biz from an experienced agent for a year or so?

If the latter, what is the best way to do this? How can I make it beneficial to the experienced P&C agent to take me on?

Get your own license and show the agent you are really hungry for the opportunity. Read this forum board. It gave me a lot of ideas that made me look like a super genius and are likely impress a prospective mentor.

BTW, although you did well on the Health and Life, I would suggest the class on P and C.

Anyone on here have advice specific to Florida?

I have some P & C experience and would like to gain more. Currently, I make my income from L & H sales and have ample opportunities to cross-sell personal lines and occasionally commercial.

Any advice???
