I’m looking to switch agencies and have a small book I’ll be taking with me with a revenue of about $50K. Does anyone have any advice on what I should ask for from the new agencies I’ll be interviewing with?
I thought about asking for 40% of it in commissions and retaining ownership of it if I decided to ever leave. Basically not sign a non-compete.
By the way, I’m an Account Executive, not a Producer, so I would be taking a salary and only asking for commission on the book I bring as well as anything new that I write myself.
