losing coverage

Hi,
I am about to lose my coverage with my employer and just need something to cover my son's medication. The prescription runs $120 per month but we have only been paying $10 under our health plan. My husband also takes medication, but his prescription is very affordable. What is available?

Can you tell us what state you live in, also what is your sons age and illness he needs to take medications for? (This will allow an agent that is licensed in your state to help you)

You should also look into the COBRA coverage if it's available (through your employer), but there are time limits, so don't delay!

Great - here we go again...

Real simple your ONLY good option if you want that stuff covered is COBRA.

Health Insurance and your associated medications cost money, you never saw the true cost side at your employer.

An "individual" plan is highly unlikely to cover expensive conditions and medications (as they would lose money).

There are some state variations and carrier variations.

If you post your STATE on the board someone can PM you details of that state, DO NOT post medical conditions or medical history in the open forum, that is a bad idea.

Good luck.
