Which carriers, if any, drop the discount and increase rates when a qualifying spouse dies, divorces or changes to a different carrier?

Mutual at least used to take away discount had that happen by mistake a couple years ago and they had to correct it because spouse did not die

What kind of insurance does AARP write and what is their rating?

Here we go again ladies & germs. Over and over again this guy and a few more similarly minded egomaniacs think they are the only agents to have figured out that AARP is not actually an insurance company.

Like the rest of us are too stupid to figure that out or something.

Maybe someday he and other similarly minded individuals will realize that many other reasonably informed insurance pros just find it easier and simpler to abbreviate "sponsored by AARP and underwritten by UnitedHealthcare Insurance Company" as "AARP."

It's all the same dude. Grow up and stop being so condescending.

The kind that requires them to sell their soul and abandon their founding principles.

Umm, as I recall they were founded to sell insurance to seniors using affinity marketing. Sounds like that is still what drives everything, despite their ads trying to reach out to younger people now.
