LTC Annuity

Hello all

This exchange of facts and opinions has been very helpful.

I just wanted to make sure regarding underwriting - am I correct in assuming that these Annuity/LTC combos require underwriting. If so, is it similar to u/w for standalone LTCi?

For LTC Advisor, I understand if you do not wish to post a full illustration. I would appreciate it if you could specify which company and product that you have been referring to. That would give me a good place to start in trying to run some illustrations on my own.

Thanks

Yes they require underwriting.

It is similar to standalone LTC, IMO.

The FMO's that market will tell you various things about the underwriting. Some will say its easier than standalone LTC.

Most give you a small underwriting guide, with general knockout conditions.

it is easier than stand alone.

Do you have an example of an area where it is easier?

In some areas they may be harder.

I had a standalone LTC go through that client told me they were declined for LTC annuity.

they are all different.

some of the ltc annuities are tougher than traditional.

some are easier.

i have very little experience with them.
i'm just going by the uwgs
