If you watch this video you will see my example of almost 5,800 members in or near where I live.

Like I say in the video, you are your product. This will help you brand yourself and it is free. Just look at my group and you will see how active it is and they all know who I am and I'm allowed to do whatever I wish in my group. Like put an ad up every single day if I wish.

http://www.facebook.com/groups/Marksgriffingroup/ is My Griffin GA buy sell and trade group. It is better than Craigslist, ebay or the local newspaper and I get to put my ads all over it for free.

I have help a lot of insurance agent start their own group.

http://www.facebook.com/groups/285187588241328/ is one example.

You have to be active in your group, keep the spammers off the group and setup some rules. You must also add as many of your friends as you can to give it a jump start.

Very cool idea. This actually provides value for people. I think it's difficult for insurance agents, and anyone in a "boring" product industry to promote interesting content in a digital forum. So yeah, I think it's a unique idea and I might steal it : ) Any data on conversions or leads generated?

Mark, thanks for posting this. I remember reading this last year but completely forgot about it. I might have to take you up on your offer to help.
