I don't come across NML often. Has anyone compared their plan to MassMutual? I've got an illustration to compare it to but no product brochure or outline of coverage.

Not that it matters for this discussion, but the one thing NML has going for it, it dominates the whole life market. Talking to some Mass guys, sounds like that won't last another 2 years max...
And how will Mass Mutual impact NWML sales?
By being more competitive and gobbling up market share.
Mass is pretty good bargain hunter, bought out Met Life's annuity book for a fraction of the cost, absorbed their career side. They have Oppenheimer, got that at a good price.

They also just acquired Hartfords 401k business about 2 years ago now. Its not life I know, but they are making moves in all divisions to be bigger and stronger.
Mass is extremely well positioned in the marketplace right now as a carrier. For WL and LTCI they have the best performing products hands down.
