What are the regulations regarding a TV Commercial that doesn't mention Plan Specific information?

    So - reason I'm asking.

We are going to run FE TV Commercials to feed our Call Center.

I watched a commercial a bit ago for Back Pain Braces - so, I called the #.

Phone Agent was very trained. Very pleasant. After asking for their website so my wife could look at it - she gave it to me and transitioned to me that she was glad I called and to stay on the line for my Free Prescription Discount Card.

After a really brief description of card - the IVR asked me for info:

Name - Zip - Address - DOB. not my phone # cause it already knew it.

Then the IVR led me down like a survey tree with brief, informative descriptions - like 10 seconds.

1st was "is anyone a diabetic" - u say yes - goes to a free glucose monitor.

2nd was crazy enough - Final Expense - " are you prepared"? If you aren't - we can help. Would you like a friendly Agent to call you back with more details?

3rd was Medicare - " Did you know that you have options when it comes to medicare? You can choose from Medicare Advantage, Supplements, Dental & Vision Plans and many others. Would you like a licensed Medicare Specialist to call you back? "

    I learned a lot from that . . .

Call yourself 8009267560 - tell them your back hurts and you saw the commercial for a FREE Back Brace . . .

Organic leads that are free because you pay someone to go door to door and tell people they get free crap is much better,

TV Commercials are only $25 if we stay out of primetime slots. Heck $10 for some decent run times & $3 to $5 over-nites. Just 1 lead per commercial would be great . . .

Going to lead with FE and do the transition tree like above with the first option being MAPD. Excited to see how this turns out . . . Going to use the Senior Life commercial with our 800# for some and create a few other spots . . .

p.s. - the D2D leads are still in play - but doubt there will be enough to feed 8 to 12 call center agents consistently . . .

Inbound Call in response to a generic Medicare Advantage commercial - if someone shows an interest and is transferred LIVE to an Agent - can a verbal SOA be done immediately?

Does the Agent that accepts the SOA have to be the same Agent that visits the client?

Not that it can't be done, but you're playing with fire!

We don't do health - so, going to sell the Lead / transfer if it happens. The commercial is FE - but, the transition tree is interesting.

1st off you're going to have to get that commercial approved...even though it's generic, you have to show that it is.

I'm sure he appreciates the help you and others have given. But we all know that he listens to nobody and will do what he wants. Which is exactly why he has failed multiple times and will crash and burn once again.

Those of us who are successful are successful because we've been willing to do what it takes to learn our products and to sell (or as the FE guys say "feel") ourselves. He's done none of that.

It's too bad. Thinking outside the box is a good thing. But you need to know what the box is.

No problems with getting approval. Most def want to be compliant. The way I read the new rules for 2018 - approval isn't necessary. But - that document was 160 pages - so, waiting on input from the Carrier reps.

    Thanks for the input Todd.
