Medicare Disability in Ohio

Have a lady on disability, goes on Medicare in September. She turns 65 in May 2017. Her health is not bad so if she goes without a MedSup for 9 months, she should be OK. Are there any plans available to her?

Ohio is one of the states that does not require a company to offer a MedSup.

Leaving her wide open with A&B only and no OOP and no drug coverage might not be the best way to go.

Confirm that UHC isn't offering Plan A at semi reasonable price and get her a Part D plan. Or put her on an MA plan she can live with til T65 and move her then.

MAPD is the way to go. If you aren't currently offering them...have her call me.
