Suit is not necessary. Rule of thumb for meetings of this nature: Why be concerned? Business casual with a sport coat for a man or equivalent dress style for a lady should be fine. Makes for a casual but professional appearance, even though a bagel shop setting.

Cargo shorts, flip flops, t shirt and a visor.

I wear shorts all summer long. If I know that I'll be seeing a client I'll throw on a golf shirt.
