I need a little help.
I have health insurance clients still lingering on old plans. Some who qualify for subsidies; the ones who don't, I keep on other local plans that are easy and not dealing with the Market Place.
I have very little interest in signing people up in the Market Place, but it's coming up a lot. I do want to help the clients I have but I'm not looking for any more JUST health biz.
Obviously, I would be signing these same people up on supplements when possible though.
I basically know how to do most of the Market Place apps, accept for the ones who are like couples who live together and have a couple kids. For instance, here's a case I need to work on next Monday. This is what I need a little guidance on...can anyone help guide me on what to do with this situation.
Male 45 yrs old
Female 35
Two daughters that they had together...he's the father.
They all live under one roof, his gross adjusted income is $57,000. So if they were married they would surely qualify for a subsidy, but what do you do when they aren't married....can I just sign dad and the two girls up on one plan and the mom on her own and still get the subsidies to work out without a big headache and hassle. I find the Market Place a pain in the arse!
