More Information on MA "True-up" Commissions?

Since the email received by plan sponsors (quoted below, in green) on July 2, has anyone heard anything verifiable regarding MA or PDP "true-up" commissions? The silence is deafening, particularly since tomorrow will mark 4 full weeks since this statement was released. In another thread, one poster mentioned an email from UHC promising release of commissions by August 3. Did anyone else receive this or any other communication from other sources?

From: HPMS [mailto:[email protected]]Sent: Thursday, July 02, 2009 7:09 PMTo:XXXXXXXXSubject: Further guidance on criteria for payment of initialcompensation fees in 2009On June 26, 2009, CMS sent an HPMS email indicating that we wereexamining our guidance on criteria for paying initial agent/brokercompensation fees for 2009. While we expect to issue more detailedguidance shortly via an HPMS memorandum, we wanted to take thisopportunity to provide organizations and sponsors with a summary of theguidance we expect to release. Independent agents and brokers enrolling a beneficiary with OriginalMedicare and a PDP into an MA plan or MA-PD, and vice versa, should bepaid an initial compensation for any such enrollments with effectivedates in 2009. We will provide further details regarding the correctionof CMS reports that will be necessary for organizations and sponsors tocorrectly identify the enrollment transactions where agents/brokersshould be paid an initial compensation. We urge organizations andsponsors to notify their contracted agents/brokers about this policychange as soon as possible. Maybe this will be resolved before this year's AEP.... Lee

This whole thing is so unfair to hard working agents that I stay po'd.

In the Theatre of my Mind, I see hordes of agents getting certified, ordering thousands of supplies, leading companies to think this will be a successful season. Then when AEP/OEP arrives...NOTHING. Ahhh yes, a false flag.

Yep, the agents are not lifting one finger to enroll anybody in these plans. They are busy writing REAL insurance.

POOF...

UHC sent out an email a week ago that commissions will be processed on AUG 1 and paid on the 3rd.

Has anyone here had a problem filling out the last box for that true up form? The reason had a code and it would not accept the code or typed in response. UHPD could not help me either.

They said this was the only way they would research.

We are an FMO with UHC and haven't received anything. Did you actually receive this email? If so, would you mind sharing it?

Thanks!

CMS Initial-Year Commissions Update - File Receipt for PDP to MA/MAPD Conversion
Good News! UnitedHealthcare is currently receiving the files from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) corresponding with the clarification we received two weeks ago that a 2009 PDP to MA/MAPD conversion qualifies for an initial-year commission.
We are working on compiling and analyzing the files. Along with the additional initial-year commission information we all have been waiting for, the file contains the entire 2009 AEP membership (more than a quarter million members), requiring us to reconcile the data to avoid double payments and/or charge-backs.

We expect to have the reconciliation complete by August 1, 2009, with payments made in the August 3, 2009 commission run.

We understand that this situation has been difficult and thank you for your exceptional support and patience. We will continue to share new information as it is given to us.
