It' worked like a charm.

Member was in Korea, had minor heart issue, went to Army hospital. $7700 and change.

$250 deductible and then Golden Rule paid 80%. She'll file the balance on her travel policy. Medicare paid nothing on this claim, but they aren't susposed to.

Beats me. I know that they've said they are pulling out. All applications must be in by 12/31 at the latest.

Dunno. They had something that listed what the problem was; what ever it was GR paid off it. That's good enough.

Thanks for sharing. I've never had a client file a foreign travel claim. Never knew how well it would work if it ever does happen.

Learned something new today.

Yea, that's why I was excited. This industry is to repetitive that something new is GREAT. When I got the call and she started explaining it I was like... OH ****... THIS MIGHT BE TOUGH. No biggie after I did the math and realized "why" Medicare didn't pay on their part.
