The P&C agency I work for has been sold, and I have been told the buyer's business plan does not include me. I see this as a blessing. It has put me in a position to go out on my own as an independent agent focusing on FE.

The greatest challenge going independent is health insurance for myself and my wife. We are both in our 50s. She has been on Social Security disability and covered under my group health plan. We lose the group coverage Dec. 31st.

She is currently enrolled in only Part A and will be getting Part B. So far, the only supplement I have found for her is BC/BS. Are there any other supplement options that are not a high deductible plan?

It doesn't look like there are any under 65 Medicare Supplements available in Alabama. Your wife will probably need to take a look at an MAPD plan.
