I think this is a stupid question but I want to make sure that I am studying the correct test. In order to sell FE I need to take the Life exam only, correct? No need for the life/health combined exam?

It has been almost 30 years since I got licensed, however I'm confident that you will only need the life license to sell FE.

However, I recommend that you take both the life and health tests. Without a health license, you won't be able to sell health, disability, Medicare supplement, Medicare Advantage or long term care.

When I did studied for the tests way back when, there must have been at least an 80% overlap in the test questions. If that is still the case, just a little more time invested in studying will get you two licenses instead of one.

You don't need the health/accident. However, you will not be able to sell Medicare supplements. Then an agent like me will come in behind you and sell them the supplement and replace the life policy at lower rates.

Protect yourself and get it all...Life, Accident & health.
